Our day started in complete relaxation after seven hours of walking the previous day.

Today we decided to explore the Mayfair district.

It was a romantic day. Walking along the pretty streets hand in hand, contemplating the appeal of Cartier and Chanel. Will we ever respond to this merchandise? Will we someday want a Rolex? Be intrigued by an Armani? Today is still a Blue Canoe day and I feel exquisite and elegant in my pink organic cotton miniskirt and tall black socks. I returned to Covent Garden this year again to purchase my favorite above the knee cotton socks. We stopped at Shepard Markets and found a delightful lunch place with a romantic table in the window. The air flowed in and we were inside yet completely outside slightly above the street to take in all the action. The streets were quieter than the main way as this is a small side village within the city. I negotiated a fresh green salad with lemon and oil. The waiter was sad to remove the chicken, croutons, and cheese but finally relented. The hot water with lemon became an issue and he felt consoled to offer "mint tea"-hot water with a mint leave floating on top. So much better indeed did he feel about this offering, that he charged us five pounds alone just for the "mint teas" including the hot water refills. (:

Moving on from this great adventure we discovered a haven for Steven among the winding streets, Richoux Tea Rooms. Blessed with a rich chocolate truffle cake, he sent his condolences to Mom for missing the "event". Chocolate bonds them and they enjoy sharing it. Mom stopped on the way to the hospital to deliver Steven for chocolate cake. So you see, the addicted fetus.

The return walk became blustery and we had to snuggle closer under the umbrella sharing our warmth. Luckily Steven has plenty. The streets were lovely and South Audley Street and the surrounds is a nice place to walk. We happened upon the Royal Academy of the Arts that we missed on the way out. I fantasized about summers studying art and wonder where will we do our semester. First off to Circus School.

The eve progressed into a dinner of Thai and Japanese in Chinatown London. I enjoyed a green mango salad, which I've never had before-wonderful! and some perfectly sauteed fresh broccoli that I saved from the garlic and oyster sauce, immersed in olive oil. The green tea was yummy. Steven had an eel roll, chicken saute, and an egg bun. (:

The culmination of a nineteen pound mango Asian cream cake topped off the fantasy day nicely.
