![]() I thoroughly enjoyed playing photo shoot. Fun photos of bears I admired our entire stay. ![]() ![]() They are waiting to be released and loved. ![]() What a great location this hotel has! The checkout was usual with the long list of extras printed out for both parties to examine. We did manage to have them remove calls placed at the exact time but had to eat the five pounds each for the local calls. Wow! In America it's only 50 cents. (: We stored the luggage with our friends the concierge-wonderful people who help you through your luggage challenges. They were so eagerly helpful when we checked in, coming out to the curb to offer us assistance. I was very taken and wanted to be near them often. So off to the oldest, or was this the best, well some famous Indian lunch this one being Veeraswamy in particular. It was in the Piccidily Circus area-very nice on 99 Regent. I loved the light and second floor setting. Knowing from the previous prestigious London Indian stops along the way, I brought my own lettuce this time. ![]() I informed them not to be surprised if they saw me munching like a bunny. ![]() ![]() We agreed the fresh Pineapple Curry was original and tasty, but what and where were the veggie kebabs in the thick orange sauce. I don't see no kebab. (: The plain Saag was excellent. Vibrantly green and delicately spiced. I saved fun broccoli, carrots, and snow peas from the green curry...yummy cashews too. No vegetable biriyani here, but the onion rice I ordered for dessert was too yummy as you can see below. ![]() Back to the Thistle and on to the unknown flat North of the City. So in love with the Thistle are we, that we fear this flat we've seen only one photo of. We rode in incredible luxury via English taxi. Friends are going to ask me what I got in London, I'll have to say "taxi rides". Expensive but lovely! I love the shape of the car. Any other car I'm sure I'd be bored to ride in but the London taxi's are just so cute. ![]() When we got out of the taxi we were greeted by the most adorable pup with animated body language chasing his ball. ![]() We arrived easily and hauled the suitcases up five flights of stairs. We are cool, eh? Our hostess was perfect and welcoming. The flat was clean and open as you can approve of also below. ![]() She even has a surround sound system to plug our Ipod in. ![]() The views are fun. ![]() Later on in the eve, Steven declared his need for adventure and we boarded the bus for London in the rain. More adventurous than usual, he encouraged us to de-bus and head towards High Street Kensington with only his suitcoat tarped over our heads. Nervous in light of the possible heavy rain, I continued on, impressed with my partner's spirit. He did guide us safely and somewhat dryly past the infamous Abbey House and down the street to Ranoush Juice. We've been here multiple times with many members of Steven's family and never tire of the Baba Genoush or the whipped grilled Eggplant with olive oil. It's marvelous! I also enjoy the vine leaves and fresh green salads in the house lemon and oil dressing. Smoking here can be an issue, but we managed to survive. Steven had a variety plate and always comments on the wonderfulness of the free baklava treats at the end of the meal. Our bed was soft, the comforter comforting, but the hut is quieter. (: Goodnight... |
