![]() The Tube seems normal except all the scary newspapers. We made it on time to our National Express Bus at the Elephant and Castle station. We even had a few minutes to browse the tiny mall and pick up snacks. ![]() Waiting for the bus the beautiful plant came to my attention. Today I saw many random acts of kindness. Daughter running to stop the bus so senior mother could make it. Nice guy in subway, much older, helped carry bags up steps. The ride was very relaxing and I enjoyed the soft misty rain. When we arrived at Leed's Castle around 10am, the weather was nice. We started out over the fantastic grounds-400 acres in total. I am amazed by the trees and the ponds. ![]() The best part of Leed's castle we agree is the walk along the grounds up to it. ![]() The castle emerges from the mist and I am impressed with it's presence. ![]() We started in the castle exploring the interior.Click here if you'd like to see inside. ![]() The gardens are lovely! Click here to flowers in detail. ![]() ![]() ![]() When you walked on the cobblestones images from the past flashed before your eyes. ![]() Exploring the castle in real life. Similar to gaming, but different. (: ![]() We had fun in the maze. It was very interesting for me to hear after walking in the maze a few minutes that Steven thought there was a point, a goal to reach. I didn't even think twice that mazes are for walking around and enjoying the paths. Very interesting our different views. When we easily made it to "the point" using Steven's gaming skill and my intuition, it was interesting to watch the others attempt to direct their loved ones from their perspective in the maze. The loved one would look towards to one they thought had reached "the point" and attempt to follow them. You could see from "the point" that directing people in the maze was quite relative. Clare the trapeze teacher emails and informs us of openings in the class. Hard descion. Lovely lunch at the restaurant. ![]() Fantastic green salad with warm veggies, the infamous hot water with lemon for me. ![]() Fish and chips, clotted cream, scones, and hot chocolate for Steven. ![]() Steven tried a fun Victorian lemonade that is brewed I'd never seen before. ![]() We ended with the very intriguing grotto. From "the point" in the maze, we went down into the underworld, like underground, where there was a fountain and chairs made of seashells. The tunnel from the fountain extended far into the deep. It seemed like maybe their favorite horse bones were along the way. It opened into this chamber you see above. ![]() Last glimpse seen from professional photographers view on postcard from the gift shop. Return ride. ![]() Dogs taking their walks in the rainy mist. Lucky to exchange tickets for Lion King again back to Thursday. ![]() On Bear street is of course the...the Bear and Staff. ![]() Steven feeling happy and content. ![]() We have returned again to the Circus Space safe and sound. I love "returning" to places I've been on the planet. It's so connecting to oneself and others. ![]() Amazing trapeze class in fascinating studio. Yes, that is me hanging out on the left. Our teacher Clare is in white. ![]() I must say the trapeze bars were cruel-made of steel and leather. The were very sticky-no ability to slide and ooh so hard and unflexible. Our trapeze bars in Hawaii are so much more comfortable. Yummy veggie menu from Chinese, ok edamame, vegi-set, and perfect green tea from Japanese. Skipped on cheezy smokey Japanese earlier with 20 pound min. Very tired, metal bar, way too much. For a good laugh a little song click here. Look for the swan swimming by to the lyrics. |
